NP Care FAQ
Am I billed every month?
No. Plans are billed once a year. The monthly price is the yearly price divided by 12 so you can compare plans easily.
Which plan is right for my building?
NP Care Home is for 1 to 2 family houses and single co-op or condo units. NP Care Small Building is for 3 to 5 family buildings and brownstones. NP Care Building is for 6 to 19 units or small mixed-use buildings. 20 units and up, or several buildings, get a custom NP Care Portfolio quote.
Does the plan include the NYC inspections my building needs?
It depends on the building. Local Law 152 gas piping inspections apply to buildings with 3 or more families; we track the due year and give members 10% off. DOB annual boiler inspections apply to buildings with 6 or more families, and NP Care Building includes the prep and filing help. Backflow testing applies if the building has a backflow device, and NP Care Building includes the yearly test for one device.
When do the included visits happen?
We schedule the boiler and steam startup in late summer or early fall, before heating season, and spread the plumbing inspections through the year. You can pick the day and arrival window.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. You get a refund for the unused full months, minus the regular value of included visits and discounts you already used.
What is the replacement credit?
Home and Small Building members earn $50 for each consecutive paid year, up to $300, toward a new water heater or boiler installed by us. If the plan lapses more than 30 days, the credit resets.
Does the plan transfer if I sell the house?
Yes. Home and Small Building plans transfer to the new owner for the rest of the term.
What is not included?
Parts and materials, main sewer line repair or replacement, work inside tenant apartments, code upgrades, permit and utility fees, and excavation, unless the plan says otherwise. Members still get their discount on that work.
